Meditation, yoga & nature
Welcome to a week of deep transformation based on meditation, yoga & nature, where every breath leads to profound change.
DESCRIPTION
We will learn to harness the powers of the mind and physiology to enhance our self-healing abilities. We will practice and delve into the worlds of yoga, develop breathing exercises (pranayama), and both stretch and strengthen the body through various asanas.
We will explore Buddhist philosophy and the 2500-year-old meditative practice. We will engage in in-depth discussions on meditation and Buddhism, including mindfulness practices, compassion exercises (karuna), and loving-kindness presence (metta).
On the fourth day, we will bring together all the tools we have acquired and experience a rebirthing process (circular breathing) – an in-depth workshop to cleanse the body's emotional system.
Together, we will embark on many experiences and attractions such as pottery shaping, nature hikes, and a half-day excursion to Lisbon. We will deepen our knowledge, relax, and forge new friendships for life.
"Health is a state of complete harmony of the body, mind, and soul. When one is free from physical limitations and mental distractions, the gates of the soul open."
WHO IS Iran Sahrai?
Therapist and yoga teacher with over 28 years of experience.
I began my journey into the world of yoga at the age of 20. During my teaching studies, between the first and second year, I had a serious accident. My legs were severely injured, leaving me unable to walk or stand. During my first discussion with my yoga teacher, she told me a phrase that saved me: "If you cannot practice asanas, practice pranayama."
From that moment on, I began to breathe deeply, focusing on each small detail of my body, and over time, I regained the use of my legs. Through breathing practice and perseverance in my rehabilitation exercises, I deepened my yoga studies, making it an essential part of my life.
About two years ago, I decided to further my knowledge and discovered cold-water immersion therapy. As a fan of cold water, it was my first time experiencing the powerful effect of ice immersion, and my breath was renewed every time I plunged into those cold waters.
I invite you on a fascinating journey of exploring microscopic breathing through integrative yoga practice, which combines all the different currents: Hatha, Sivananda, Ashtanga, Vinyasa, with an emphasis on precision according to the Iyengar method and breath awareness. This combination allows me to adapt the practice to each student according to their individual needs, while maintaining a collective and personal character.
